After interviewing a group of General Contractors it was obvious from our first meeting with Gino that Carick was the right team for the job. Gino and the crew on the project (Thomas and Jacque) brought experience, knowledge and new ideas which were greatly appreciated. One of the more challenging elements of the project (at least for us) was the fact that we would be living in the house as the renovation took place. The Carick team made every effort to accommodate us and we quickly learned that they could be trusted while on-site. The workmanship and attention to detail were exceptional, and project management was successful - with the project finishing well within the agreed timeframe. The scope of the project entailed architectural design of the living/ dining room, removal of structural wall, replacing knob and tube, removal of lathe and plaster, new insulation, drywall, etc. Given that this was a 1920's 2 storey home there would inevitably be unknowns along the way. Gino and team stayed in contact with us regularly to address any changes to the plan - before proceeding with the work.
