I was shopping for a bedroom set for my son last Friday and saw a set on your website. I decided to go into your Whitby store to see it in person. I showed the unit on the website to the salesperson and they showed it to me but suggested an alternate set. Upon taking a look, the other set looked like it was better quality for a slightly higher price. The salesperson quoted the other set as $1868 so we decided to go with that one instead.
Having made the purchase with our 2 little kids in tow and trying to manage them, we left the store thinking we got a good deal. However upon reviewing the set on your website, we discovered the price was (and still is $1748).
As a result we felt ripped off and the salesperson wanted nothing to do to correct the price other than offer a store credit which is ridiculous considering the price we paid was incorrect. Furthermore, we were charged $20 delivery for literally up the street whereas the website says free local delivery.
These inconsistent pricing practices are unfair and crooked. We were told you price match however you can't even price match across your own sales channels.
Your salesperson would say nothing except they have nothing to do with the website and the price given is the price. Very unprofessional, condescending and rude in tone. We called the head office only to be given the run around. Left a voice mail for a "manager" but no call back.
Upon delivery, the delivery guys were rude, clearly didn't want to be doing their job and started talking in their language when asked to remove their wet shoes. There was a rip in one of the boxes and we wanted to ensure there was no damage. The delivery guys just left the house without notifying us.
