Upon requesting a quote All Star Paving Inc promptly visited our home and quoted us a price to do the excavation and replacement of the existing concrete and asphalt and within the next 7 working days had the job completed. The crews were courteous and friendly. Our contact with their head office was excellent and Amelia certainly represented this family business in a very nice way.

Steps to front of house installed incorrectly with huge crack after only one winter. Looks absolutely terrible. They don't respond to emails or phone calls. The family should be ashamed for how they conduct business.

Friendly sales guy came to house and gave a reasonable quote on driveway and concrete work. Office staff was friendly and gave good advice. They actually had it done sooner(even in their busy times) for me due to my situation. Driveway was done in one day. Nice clean job. Thanks again.

Had driveway and walkway paved Nov 2013 they cemented right against basement window did not build a well, asked to have driveway graded away from , did the opposite ran towards house, the guy power washing the aggregate finish said I hate doing this part and the finish showed, they did nor order enough cement and had to wait and hour for another truck after they tried to stretch it out and couldn't, when they came back next day to cut it wasn't set and chipped, my contractor who hired them had to fight with them to agree to redo it although not all of it, now we have a two tone driveway. When they pulled up the driveway discovered they did not lift the screening into the cement as they are supposed to do so it was doing nothing. After this winter we now have 8cracks and more appearing daily. When the owner came by I tried talking to him and he would not listen or engage in any conversation he said he was only there to measure how much was used and when I said you told me you could fix the chipped cuts he refused to answer me and when I said you told me the new cement would match and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference he said what do you expect the first one has been exposed to the weather for a year although it had only been 6 mths.....Do yourself a favor and avoid these people at all cost

I would not recommend this company to anyone. Within the first year of the work being done the concrete began to crack and the sealing was peeling in many areas. There was a major crack on the lip of our step that after several phone calls they came to repair. However, because of the improper patch job the next spring the crack on the same step was even worse and a huge piece fell completely off and again the sealing was off and we have blotchy areas throughout the concrete. When I called this year, they came to inspect but now want to charge us an additional price to repair the damage which we believe is due to faulty workmanship and poor quality product.

Just had the driveway paved. These guys have their act together. Nine guys showed up and did a great job. They charged a little more but, it was worth it. I would hire them again with no reservation.

I used All Star Paving and the work received was poor. They didn't have many guys working and it took over 2 months to complete. I kept getting the run around as to why they weren't coming after I already placed my deposit. in the end I ended up paying 15,000.00 and I feel as I was robbed. I called the better business bureau and have made a complaint. The worse part out of all this is my driveway started cracking because it wasn't completed properly. not the mention the attitude received when I kept on phoning was uncalled for and disgusting! these people act like its a an award to have them working on your driveway, and they aren't on anyone elses time but theirs! I have learned my lesson, and I hope other folks wont make the same mistake as I did.

My neighbour used them to have his concrete driveway replaced with asphalt a few years ago and was very happy with the work. Mysteriously enough, that same weekend, the previous owner of my house noticed that his water pressure dropped to almost nothing, but didn't pursue it.

Fast-forward to when I buy the house and need to replace the water line (runs under my neighbour's driveway) - I pay for this work and offer to resurface his driveway at my own expense as well. He insisted on using them again. I received the quote quickly enough (during the off-season) but they couldn't start the work due to the weather, but they assured me that they'd call when they were ready to start the next season's workload. I waited for a few months but heard nothing back. I called them to find out what the delay was and when they'd be able to schedule the work, unfortunately, they had misplaced the quote and had to get back to me (so I guess they were never going to call). When it finally came down to scheduling the work, I left at least four messages with their service over two weeks and never had my calls returned. It was my neighbour who eventually got them to come in to do the work. They proudly advertise a 24-hour answering service - this is good, you'll get to know them well. When it came time to pay them I told them that I'd pay by credit card (which they said was fine at first, but was suddenly told that they didn't take MasterCard - so I had to pay for the cash advance fees) and then when it came time to drop off my cheque, I was promised that they'd be at the office by 8:30-9:00...I waited until 9:45 and gave up (being already extremely late for work).

The work itself is of decent quality (I hope so, they're not cheap) and they seemed to do a good job both times, and that would warrant at least one star, but I just can't shake the feeling that it was them that broke the water line in the first place.

Avoid these guys at all costs. Punching yourself in the face is a lot less painful.

We had a concrete driveway and walkway done in May of 2012, and have had lots of compliments on it. However, within a month a small hairline crack appeared in the walkway. It has progressively gotten bigger and after numerous phone calls (at least 25 - 30) they still have not come back to repair it. I would not recommend this company to anyone because they don't seem to stand behind their work.

Excellent workmanship and the finished driveway and sidewalk look great. Very reasonable price for the work they did. We are very happy with the end result. They did driveway edging too, in stone, it looks great! Would recommend to anyone.
