I had suspected a termite infestation for several years in our home but was never certained. But then I happened to notice a pile of tiny "wood bits" on the floor. I looked to see where it had been coming from and sure enough there was a tiny hole in the wall. I poked it with the end of a paper clip and out popped the head of one of the buggers. I sprayed it with a can of termite killer but several months later I noticed another location that they had moved the "troops". Well I called Quantum based on a recommendation from a friend who had told me they had a good experience. What they do is tent your house early in the morning and then they gas the entire place with toxic chemicals. They claim that the gas will kill all pests. I felt I won my house back but after about a month I noticed there were still a bit of an infestation. The company told me that this is not something I should be concerned about because it takes "years for another infestation". I am still concerned because I was hoping they would be gone for good. I am considering a non-toxic alternate route next time. Also one final note - if you plan on fumigating your house I recommend that you hide all your valuables because you don't know the people who will be entering your home - once they start fumigating they won't let you back in (obviously) so there is no way of knowing what anyone will do or what their intentions are. I am not saying who took what in our own experience but if you lose something all you can do is file a claim with the company, that is it.
