It could be time for you to slow down and take a break and enjoy some well-deserved downtime. When looking to take some time off, you may want to pause your leads on HomeStars. Not only will doing so help avoid Star Score penalties, but it will also ensure that homeowners’ service requests don’t go unanswered by your business. We’ve broken down how you can turn on “Vacation Mode” on the HomeStars for Pros app in a few simple steps.

What is the “Vacation Mode” on the HomeStars for Pros app?

The “Vacation Mode” feature on the HomeStars for Pros app will stop your account from receiving new leads for a brief period of time. When turned on, HomeStars will notify the homeowner that you’re unavailable with an automatic message. This functionality works best when you’re going away on vacation, when you’re not taking service requests over the holidays, emergencies, etc.

How Can I Turn On “Vacation Mode”?

Vacation mode is only accessible via the HomeStars for Pros app. Once you have the app downloaded, you can turn on vacation mode in a few simple steps.

    1. When logged in, select your logo in the far left corner.
    2. Locate “Vacation Mode” in the list of options.
    3. Turn on “Vacation Mode”
    4. Choose the appropriate date range that you will be unavailable.

Note: Vacation mode can be turned on for a maximum of 30 days at a time and can be turned off at any time in between.

If you’re looking to turn off “Vacation Mode” at any point you can follow the above steps and turn off “Vacation Mode”.

Utilize “Vacation Mode” when necessary. While vacation mode is turned on, remember HomeStars will continue to market and expose your business to project homeowners.
