Reviews

2/10

We replaced our large great room window with a 3panel Trimbo window. We liked the high ratings and guarantee. After 5 years, the middle panel cracked from the corner. Calls to Trimbo said that glass is not included in the warranty. We have had two window installers quote on replacing the glass and both have said that it is a pressure crack and should be covered under Trimbo’s warranty. Trimbo has refused. It will cost me $2000 for new glass.... not what I expected when we went with the highly regarded Trimbo window. Don’t count on a guarantee.

Approximate cost of services:
$5,000.00

Company Response

Hello Bruce,
I hope all is well. My name is Domenic Trimboli from Trimbo Window Mfg Inc.I have read your review and I wanted to follow up on this matter. I apologize for any inconvenience that you may have experienced. However I do feel that there is a communication breakdown somewhere. Trimbo has always honored and will always honor the warranty offered on our products (Warranty is on our web-site for review). I made the statement that there is a communication breakdown somewhere for the following reasons:

1) We have no record of any phone calls in regards to this matter.Unfortunately your review
is the first time this was brought to our attention.
2) We searched our files and have no record of a customer with the name Bruce in Kitchener or in the Ottawa area
3) We do not install in the Kitchener or Ottawa area.

In order for any warranty claim to be honored we would require much more information:

1)Customer full name and address
2)Invoice #
3)Installation Date
4)An email or a letter to us claiming the issues (recommended)
5)Did you buy directly from Trimbo and install the product yourself?
6)Did you buy the product thru a dealer and or contractor? If yes did you contact
your dealer and or contractor?

Please contact me directly at dom@trimbowindow.com with all the information required and
we will honor everything that is covered under the warranty.
Trimbo has never walked away from a warranty that a customer is entitled to and after 35 years,we are definitely
not going start on a glass..If it is listed in the warranty, then you are entitled to it.

Please contact me to discuss this matter

Thank you

Domenic Trimboli
