We had our basement finished by AGM during last winter. We hired them after visiting their booth in home show. Basement looks beautiful but it is very very expensive compared to the quality of material and workmanship. Most of my friends liked the way basemnt is finished but when I told them the price I paid, they almost fainted. Pros: Project is finished by the agreed deadline. They take care of any defects that you bring to their attention (wish they could proactively find and correct defects) Most of the trades people, project manager are very friendly. The designer Lana is excellent and gave us many great ideas. Also, the young guy who did stairs and flooring (can't remember the name) was the best. Cons: Communication (returning calls or responding to voicemail) was hit and miss Project supervision is hit and miss. Most work was done without supervision. Scheduling is hit and miss. Trades people / subcontractors didn't show up according to the schedule that was provided. They worked during weekends and late in the evevning on some days to meet deadline which was not very convenient. As they missed some days, they appeared rushing through the work to meet deadlines which resulted in some defective workmanship. Any additional changes are also overcharged. Many defects are ignored until you bring it to their attention. Daily clean up after work is hit and miss (mostly miss). Nevertheless, I am glad that basement turned out to be beautiful (see the pictures) and met our expectation. Thanks AGM !

Two guys from this company came two year back for duct cleaning. Guys had absolutely no training on duct cleaning. They literally bent the covers of air inlets in all the rooms instead of unscerwing them. On top of that they hit on my ducts in basement so badly that two year later when I see those big dents on my ducts (my basement is unfinished), I repent why I called this worst ever duct cleaners. Their guys were hitting with hammer on my ducts saying they were trying to move dust. That was my first duct cleaning as a first time home buyer. Had I known at that time I would have kicked them out. I don't know how such companies get away with their business. I am writing this because I just saw rating of ten in couple of reviews which can mislead to some people who are looking for duct cleaning services. If you want to hire, don't hire these guys as they are not trained and can damage your ducts/vents. Hire somebody else. Sorry Guys, get the training first and have some respect for the properties of your customers.

When I signed the contracts, Direct Energy told me that new replacement of entire faucet unit is not covered but reapirs of faucet such as replacing washer is covered. When I called them for faucet repair, they surprised me by saying that faucet reapir is not covered at all! I had already signed-up contract and had passed 30days of period when I could have cancelled the contract. Since I am forced to pay them for the rest of the contract period, no matter what, all that they do is keep bouncing from one person to other when I ask them that why I was misled while signing up contract about things that are not covered. So anyone planning to sign-up for their plumbing services, don't go by what they say over phone, read the contract and make sure to give the call to cancel it beofre 30days if tehy do not cover what they say is covered over phone. You might want to go for other options in the market, as Direct Energy in my opinion is not worth spending your money. It looks like Direct Energy is no different than those companies come on your door with clip board to sign-up contract, probably Direct Energy is a bigger fish and swallows your money big time! Customer service is nothing but just a lip service. For last two years, they haven't even managed to correct my information in their system. My experience is service contractors ususally come late and don't even call you if they can't make it in given time frame of 4 hrs. After signing up contract, for my first two scheduled visits, ttheir plumber never showed-up, nor did he called to keep us informed. Overall, a frustrating experience.
