Empire moving of Toronto are movers with massive fraudulent practices. They moved me last week, my move that was supposed to cost me $1,300, cost me over $3,200. They used the role of movers, to get possession of our goods. Without our consent, they charged Two thousand dollars on our credit card( Once we came to know of this charge, we complained to credit card company to reverse the charges). We never got a copy of our contract & when we asked for a receipt of cash paid, they made excuses that have run out of receipts. They came ill equipped & a move of 6-7 hours was extended to 16 hours. Every half hour or so they demanded more money giving us a choice of either –coming up with more cash or they will abandon the move with the goods. Once they knew that I would not give any more, they dumped the goods all over -some in the lobby , some in front of the building. They damaged several pieces of our expensive furniture & broke three plate glass pieces –all that I got from them was that they were sorry for the damages. They do not have their address on their website & refused to divulge it when questioned.
