We purchased a Lennox furnace through Natiowide last year and everything 'seemed' okay until this past weekend. With temperatures of -28, we noticed that our furnace wasn't blowing any hot air. It was cycling on, but the air wasn't being forced through the house. As a result, the temperature kept plummeting. We called for service at 5pm on Friday night and they said they would put an emergency call out and call us back. By 9am the next day, they hadn't returned our call. When we tried to call them back, we got a recorded message that said they were closed, and then proceeded to list their open hours to include Saturdays from 8am to 9pm. Clearly we were calling when they were open but no one was answering the phone. We left repeated messages without a response. I was able to reach the VP, Roman on his cell (how I don't know) and he said it wasn't his problem and gave me 2 other numbers to call, including the manager of their service department. After not being able to get through to follow up on my original call, we were finally able to reach their service department at 5pm the following night. At this point they told us they would dispatch someone between 9am and 1pm on SUNDAY...remember, our original call on FRIDAY. They also indicated they would charge us $99 for a service call. We ended up calling our local furnace company and within 40 minutes they called their technician out who told us the problem was that our 2 stage furnace had only been installed as a 1 stage furnace, and that the reason no heat was blowing is because they 2nd stage wouldn't initiate. He literally flicked a switch that should have been done during installation and IMMEDIATELY we had heat! Do NOT deal with Nationwide, their service is horrible and their courtesy is non existent. Now, when I try to call their office number listed on their website, it says their number is not in service!!!!

Approximate cost of services:
$152.00
