Today, December 31,2017 i blew a fuse and not liking to touch anything in the fuse box, my husband had a look. Now, my husband has terminal cancer and tried his best to have a look, unfortunalty, he had no luck so I called Stack electric. 2 people came, one was an apprentice, did not remove their snow covered boots and proceeded into the rec room (caprpet on the floors) well it took them 5 minutes to find the problem which was 3 fuses. And now the punch line, the price was $254.25 for 3 fuses. I belive this was taking advantage of the situation and i certainly would never call these people again. They need to reconsider the price

Approximate cost of services:
$254.25

Company Response

Hello Betty

Thank you for taking the time to write this review as we always look forward to our clients feedback. Please allow me to respond

While we were working for another client, you called and told me that you had lost power to certain parts of your home and you also shared with me your husbands situation, along with the current cold snap we are having and you not having heat, you asked me to come right away to fix your issues.

As with all emergency calls, I advised you of our call out rate and you proceeded to give me your address. At that point I dropped everything I was doing and headed straight to your home, which took me 16 min to arrive at your door. I would refer to that as pretty quick service for a holiday weekend. Please also keep in mind that with any company there will always be a huge difference in rates for booked appointments and emergency weekend call outs.

The reason two people came is because, as mentioned, we left another job to come directly to you as fast as possible. As for snow covered boots? I don't wear boots for this reason, they make a mess in homes. However, I did make sure that my work shoes had no snow on them, as I wiped them over and over at your front door. I am sorry, but I cannot do live electrical work in my socks, it is just not safe. And being that this was an emergency call, I did not have time to go and get the carpet runners we usually have in our service vehicles. I do apologize if this upset you.

As for our fee, you must understand that there is a cost to have qualified people to your home and people that can solve your electrical issues correct and efficiently. Our trucks are fully stocked with parts to make these repairs on the spot, as was the case in your situation. Please note, the price you mentioned was after tax, and I did discount our emergency fee for you and didn't charge you for parts.

But nevertheless, I am very happy you chose Stack Electric for your service repair, and being that we do believe in customers first and your happiness is always at the for front of our business philosophy, please accept this as our way of saying thank you.

We will destroy the cheque you gave us for the service call and there will be no charge for this work.

All the best in the new year
