Had a set of 3 double-hung windows and a double French/garden door installed in our home this year. Product: No complaints about the windows, they were well built and everything worked properly. The door set was another story. It is a custom French double door set where the left side opens and the right side is a garden door/screen that cranks open. We had a something similar at an old townhouse but it was built as a single unit. The one from Weather Pro was just two separate doors installed side-by-side. It didn't look as good and I don't think it's as secure either. They also clearly used a window crank for the garden door and the install team just sealed the space in between with silicone (see picture). Service: I called weather Pro multiple times about the ugly door crank and some minor sloppiness in my install. The salesman (Joe) and the office staff never did call me back, but I eventually got a call from the installation contractor. He was good about coming over right away, but I really got the impression Weather Pro just told him to deal with it to make us go away. At no point did they really respond about the handle, so the contractor added a piece of white aluminum to cover the open side, and I ended up adding a cover-up strip to the space between the doors myself. Conclusion: Weather Pro outsources their manufacturing to an Ontario company and don't seem to have the willingness or control to make changes when something is wrong with that product. I would recommend making sure your product is manufactured locally, or at least by the same company who sells it to you, and can't really suggest using Weather Pro. UPDATE: FEBRUARY 2019 TO PRESENT (AUGUST 2019) I am so frustrated trying to get a simple service request completed that I feel the need to update this review. Like other users I am finding the support and service from this company to be practically non-existent. Below is an excerpt of the last message I sent them. - First the triangular tabs the one of the windows window tabs broke when sliding it up. - Then the garden door was sticking so bad that the handle just broke right off when I tried to open it - I tried twice to send a service request through the WeatherPro website and received no response - I called a couple times and finally spoke to Nina. She asked me to forward the pictures of the issue so she could follow up, which I did, then heard nothing. - I continued to follow up by email but heard nothing so I just started calling every few days. I have been doing that since April. Each time I was told that they were following up with the contractor and then hear nothing. - Finally Nina just gave me the contractor’s number so I left him a couple voicemails but received no response. - I continued calling every few days and also called the contractor before each call just to see if he would answer. He once pocket dialed me and left a 2 minute voicemail of static, but other than that has never answered or returned a phone call. - I have asked to speak to a manager about the lack of response at least 4 times. Each time the CSR said they would look into it and twice said they were “putting my message on their desk right now.” Not once has a manager called me back. - In total I have sent 5-10 emails and I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve called. Once, on July 25th, almost 5 MONTHS after my original service request, Timor managed to reach their installer contractor and offered me a service time the following morning. It was too short notice for my wife and I to get off work. I asked him to send me some alternative dates in August. It’s been 2 weeks and I haven’t heard back. When I called a couple times this week I got somebody else and it was like starting from square one. She even asked me for my phone number again after pulling up my file (????). As a small aside, I chose Weather Pro over a Calgary-based company. My parents recently bought one of that company's windows from a re-sale store in Calgary and when they needed a part that company provided it for free within a week. They were not even customers and they got prompt courteous service. I spent over $5000 on this install and nobody calls me back. UPDATED CONCLUSION: at this point I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone and I encourage anyone reading this to go with a more reputable local supplier.

Approximate cost of services:
$5,000.00

Company Response

In response to your review;
For your information our windows are made in Ontario as well and there is no issues with them according to you .
as far as the doors concern every door manufacture has their own way of designing their product ,not all door manufacture make identical design,you can not compare our door to your old door and question us for providing you a different design door.
according to our installer the work performed at your house was done professionally .
please keep in mind that many manufactures of windows and doors in Alberta still source out parts and product from Ontario,Quebec and other countries in order to provide their customers the best product line and quality.
In fact i am sure most of the products in your house (roof,insulation,drywall,floors,plumbing,electrical....) are not made in Alberta.
