duct cleaning & scam for furnace cleaning
If the price is too good to be true it is. I had Maple Services Inc. come to clean my ducts for $100 - CASH (my house is 2500 sq ft). The operation manager is Raza. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHOULD have done my homework - it took less than 45 minutes. The vacuum was brought in through a basement window and a long wandlike blower was attached to the end - in reality all they did was blow the dirt from one area to another AND spray something like febreeze down the vents so it smelled fresh. Told me my furnace was filthy so I threw him another $220 for nothing. After they left I noticed my basement window where the vacuum came in was broken (the vinyl frame as well as my security contact bar). I cannot even shut the window or get all the basement window panes back in place. I phoned Raza who PROMISED/ASSURED me he would come the next day to check it out and fix/pay for any damages. Needless to say that was over 3 weeks ago and he will not pick up the phone (even when I do call block). THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE!!! I've since checked on the BBB website and they had a complaint in February 2011.
