Marcel came to our rescue! Before working with Marcel, we'd had a brutal botch job done by another contractor. We needed to demo all of that work and start over. We lost $20 grand. We were stressed, sick of our house under reno and not sure what to do next. Then we hired Marcel. He demo'd most of the previous contractors work and practically started from scratch. The following highlights our experience: Marcel did a fantastic job from start to finish: - he was patient and understanding of the extra stress we had, given that we were essentially finishing our basement for a 2nd time. He understood the emotional toll that took on our family and that not only was our basement damaged, but we were too. - he was great with design ideas, but also good at allowing us to decide how we wanted it to be. - his quote was competitive, not the lowest, but was strong and he mostly stayed on budget... - his team works very fast, we had a finished basement in less than 4 weeks. This was huge for us as we'd already been through a long reno the first time - Marcel was hands on and was on site several times throughout the day monitoring progress - he is highly organized. The work stayed right on track and was done when he said it was going to be. - his tradesman were all friendly, hard working, great to work with and skilled at what they did - and most importantly the finished product looks fantastic, sleek, and we've had no issues... everyone that has come in comments on how awesome it looks. We'd highly recommend Marcel for any basement job and we've already suggested him to several friends thinking of finishing their basements. We're also planning to use Marcel again in the future for other work inside and outside our house. Now we have a wonderful basement to enjoy! We are fortunate to have chosen Marcel and thrilled with our new basement.
