The parging alongside the driveway of my hundred-year-old house wasn’t too bad; needed some patching. However, when I went to look all around the house, I discovered a major crack, including in the cement block underlay, at a usually out-of-sight corner. I emailed Conterra for a quote. They were quick to respond with a phone call to set up an appointment. Sean, the estimator, had a very good look and gave me a price. I agreed. Later Conterra called with a date for the work to be done. The workmen arrived on time. We went over what was to be done, including the fact that I wanted the driveway side to look uniform, which meant patching where necessary and then skimming all of it to match. Once they went to work, chipping off the old parging at the back corner, it was discovered that the crack was far deeper and wider than anyone had suspected — enormous! I was appalled. No problem. Another employee arrived with some wood for making a form for the large amount of cement that would be needed. When everything was finished, it all looked spectacular (except for the guys who did the work in 7 degree temperatures, who looked tired and cold!). What surprised me was that the final bill, despite the extent of the work being more than envisioned, was the same as the estimate I had been given. I highly recommend Conterra.

My newish tree was growing out, not up. Why? Andrew came out and answered that question: a huge Norway Maple overhead. He also surveyed the rest of the yard and made suggestions. Nick (foreman) and Tom came to remedy the problem by taking down some lower big branches without ruining the look of the Norway. They also planted anotther new tree and pruned the out-of-control willow bush and the forsythia. All along, they were fun to work with, provided good advice, always listened to my desires, and -- the proof is in the pudding -- the yard looks perfect! Thank you. Highly recommended

Basement had "popcorn" ceilings AND walls, and beadboard all around, painted dark green (in a dark basement). Horrible. Neil's team mudded and sanded, mudded again and sanded again and then primed and painted with my choice of colours and brand. Perfect! No more ugly popcorn! The crew were fun to work with and even helped me learn how to use my new electric mitre saw (I was putting in new baseboards) and also loaned me a nail gun to finish my part of the basement renewal. All very professional. Will use again on my other popcorn ceilings. Perhaps more expense than others, but the team came on the day we agreed upon, arrived at work at 8:00 a.m. Each of the five days they were here, and when I needed a bit of a touch up in one small area, Neil arranged to have that done immediately.
