Never, ever buy a home from Pacesetter Homes. We purchased a spec home from them last year, thinking that we would be avoiding the hassle in having to deal with a builder through the construction process. We have had nothing but problems. Our possession day was ruined by work not being completed, and now almost a year later, we are still attempting to get them to complete the work that will allow our HVAC system to pass the inspection with the city. They actually illegally allowed us to (unknowingly) take possession of our home without the HVAC permit, and we have been advised by the city that we are well within our rights to take them to court. We have taken at least a week's worth of days off of work in order to have this work completed, and each time somebody either doesn't bother to turn up, or turns up without the required equipment to complete the work. And that is only ONE of the deficiencies that we faced upon moving in. A year later and things still aren't done. We have filed complaints with the city and the Better Business Bureau. Save yourself the time and energy, and find a builder who will make your time and money a priority - Pacesetter doesn't care about much once they've gotten your money.
