My review for Checkmate Wildlife A1 Removal & Prevention is long overdue. I moved into an older home and quickly learned that birds had nested inside the exhaust vents on one side of my house. I contacted Louis, Owner and Operator of the company and he was able to schedule his visit with a few days. He accessed the animal access points of concern around my house and offered prevention solutions and provided me with a fair quote for his services. Louis also took some photos of some shingle damage on my roof so that I would be aware of it, which I felt was a great thing to have done. He completed the work and reviewed it with me after he was done. Louis told me that he guarantees his work so if I had any further problems to please reach out to him and he would be back to address them. A few days later I had a roofer come to fix the shingles and he commented on how well the animal prevention company did on sealing up the access points that he could see on the chimney and roof. That was nice to hear from an impartial vendor. A little over 3 months after Louis had completed the animal prevention work on my house I contacted him once again. I believed that one of the exhaust vents still contained some parts of a nest, which was preventing the airflow from the bathroom fan. He promptly called me back and confirmed he would come back and address my concern, as it was part of his guarantee. It turned out that the airflow blockage was not from a nest but rather an old bathroom fan pipe that had been lodge in the side. He removed it for me and asked me to test it. The bathroom fan worked beautifully and resolved the airflow issue I was experiencing. I felt embarrassed but Louis assured me that these things happen in older homes and not to worry at all about contacting him. He once again assured me that I cold call him if I had any further concerns. Overall Louis is a kind and caring professional who in my opinion will go above and beyond for his customers. Don’t think twice about giving him a call.
