6/10

Carpets were cleaned in a fast and efficient manner. Very polite and outgoing. The only thing that I noticed was when I went to check the dampness of the rug a few hours after they were finished, there was still a lot of dog hair that came up on my hand after touching the rug. I asked for the basic carpet cleaning and this might be why- but for $100 I thought more of the dog hair would have been removed. On a side note- our carpet was not soiled by any means and my husband and I vacuum very frequently. Overall, I had a good experience with this company

Company Response

Thank you for the great review! I apologize for not being able to remove all of the dog hair gnatted into the carpet. Carpet cleaning is designed to steam shampoo the carpet fibres with powerful cleansing products, leaving the carpets bright, fresh and clean. They are not meant to unbind any dog hair that has been knotted into the carpet over long periods of time, however I can usually remove UP TO 90% (NOT ALL) if requested. In this case basic shampoo was requested. In order to fully remove ngatted pet hairs you would need to vacuum them out with a specialized vacuum with a rotator brush such as a Dyson.

We gave you the full cleaning you paid for and we did a follow up after the carpet was cleaned as usual before the review was left, which was a time to express any concerns or issues.

At that time I asked, "How did the carpets turn out? =)"

And the response was, "Great! Thank you!!"

I assumed the double exclamation point was a successful venture so I left it at that point.

We would have been happy to try and fix the issue, or explain why only some dog hair can be removed by a carpet cleaner, and is not completely removed unless brushed out in individual sections, which takes an enormous amount of time and effort, and hence costs a bit more in time and labour.

If you research a few other reviews, you will see that we often clean up after animals and have great results! When I was cleaning your carpet I never saw any hair whatsoever, and that is usually one of the first things we notice, so I cannot understand what you are talking about.

Your carpet was not that dirty and in no need of a higher level of cleaning, hand scrubbing, disinfectant, stain treatment, vanish application and proxy application and guard treatment which is way above the normal shampoo and utilizes about $100.00 to 150.00 worth of products, plus labour, so you can understand why $100.00 would not cover that regardless of necessity.

We are not a 6/10 type of company and do not want anybody out there to believe that we would ever let anything like this go without explaining it to you, especially in a quality check right after the work was completed.

The truth is, I would explain to most people who mentioned they had a dog, which you did not, and I never saw one, or any dog hair whatsoever, that a lot of dog hair gets kneaded into the fiber, and when a steam cleaner hits it, it has ZERO lift, it does not have brushes, and will not brush the carpet to rid the carpet of dog hair. The carpet cleaners can remove up to 50-80% of dog hair per cycle, depending on how heavy the hair is and how much it has intertwined into the fiber, but a regular maintenance of your carpet is required for perfect conditioning of any rug, including 6 month treatment cycles, scotch guarding, and your own specialized brushes or dog hair removing system on a weekly basis.

In this case I did not see any signs of pets nor was I requested to do a pet service.

Anyways, thank you very much for the business, and once again, I am also very sorry that we could not fully make you happy with our business.

Truly:
