Beaver Valley Stone was referred to me by a coworker so I thought they would be reliable and reputable. I had two problems with this company, one with scheduling, the other with pricing. I ordered one tonne of gravel for a landscape project I am doing. The person I spoke to confirmed a delivery time of 1:30 on Saturday afternoon. I did not have my phone with me for a period on Saturday morning and it turned out they had shown up at 9:00 to deliver the gravel but I did not get their call. They then told me that they don't give times when clearly the person I spoke to for my order had given me a time. Second, Beaver Valley Stone quoted me a price on the phone more than once. When they arrived to deliver the product, they handed me an invoice for triple the amount. I called to complain and received a reduction so only ended up paying twice the original quoted amount. According to the delivery driver, this company does this all the time and customers often have surprise bills. I would not recommend this company to anyone. If you do decide to do business with them, get everything in writing (time of delivery, pricing) before proceeding.
