We contracted Great Canadian Roofing and Siding to do a complete siding of our house as well as a new roof. The roof was done first and was done very well in a timely fashion. I then contracted them to do the siding. WHAT A MISTAKE. The team they sent did not have a clue. They were rude and when they completed the job left a real mess. We complained and then the real problems started. The company said it was alright even though it was clearly buckled and pieces were falling off. They would send someone out to try and patch it up and replace they pieces that fell off. They kept coming out but nothing was done. They then threatened me with placing a lien on my house if I did not pay the holdback. I paid it and tried to follow up but it was slow and people were not very forthcoming. They finally admitted that the job was not done correctly but blamed the siding not the incompetent installers they sent out. The job was re-done and we were still not satisfied because they used a different style siding without telling us. Some time has passed and the siding is still buckled and we are not satisfied at all. This company did not really care about the quality of the job all they wanted was to get paid. I would not let this company side a doghouse. The people in charge of the siding were INCOMPETENT and the company was not interested in the quality of the work they did.

George, thank you for providing the recent feedback on your siding project from 2011. We are surprised you state our installers are incompetent and rude. Great Canadian has won the “Consumer Choice Award” for 10 consecutive years for service and customer satisfaction by offering professional, courteous and quality workmanship to all our clients.

As discussed during our onsite meetings and inspections at that time, we were able to confirm with the siding manufacturer there were defects in the product supplied not the workmanship, this was the reason the siding was redone through a manufacturer claim that Great Canadian facilitated. It is our policy to collect on the contract amount after a job has been completed to the manufacturer’s specifications. When Great Canadian finishes a project and goes above and beyond to fulfill a contract, we expect to be paid as per the contract.

Our file on this project has been closed for 3 year with no communication from you with any additional concerns you have recently stated. Great Canadian did not in any attempt hide or mislead you with the siding product installed. Over the last 3 years Great Canadian has been available and will remain available for you to contact us directly with any concerns
