We recently purchased a home in the North End of St. Catharines, built in 1974. The property had approximately 1300 sqft of popcorn ceiling that we wanted to replace. Prior to removal, we opted to test for Asbestos, just in case. Two separate tests were performed by independent labs and both showed the presence of asbestos. With this unfortunate news in hand, we began the search for a reliable and qualified asbestos abatement company in the region. With 2 small kids at home, we wanted the work to be done correctly from the start. After reaching out to quite a few local companies (including some further towards the GTA), and on the advice from a friend, we were most pleased with the responsiveness we received from GB Environmental Services. The quote was fair, the work was clearly explained, and completed in a timely and professional manner. Rick provided us with a very thorough and professional home inspection. He stepped us through the entire home over the course of several hours, and we learned a number of things along the way, both inside and outside of the home, from basement to attic. He also explained how to address all of the problems. Sometimes these were simple fixes, that made us much more comfortable. We now feel confident about the condition of the home, and what to expect over the next several years. Outstanding service.
