I first used Helene siding a few years ago and was extremely pleased with their work, they were quick and did great work at a great price, and so I didn't think twice about calling them for another job, I wish I had. This time around what I was told that they would come and do the estimate this was in July I did not see or hear from them for at least two months, when I called to follow up I was told that they had still not arranged to come and do it, I then asked if they could please let me know how long it would take because it was getting cold and I would like to have it finished. When they eventually came to do the estimate they stated that they would let me know within a week, I did not hear from them again for another month. When I called the office I was told that because it is only a small repair that they would be able to get it done fairly quickly and it would only be a couple hundred of dollars because I already had the siding piece. To this point I still had not received a written estimate. After the work was finished I received a bill for double the amount and was then informed that this is the amount I had to pay, I called them and they told me that they would fix the invoice accordingly and resend. When I received the new invoice it was only $80 lower and I had asked them why it was still that amount, I was informed they had a minimum charge. I informed them that this was not what I was quoted and was told there is no way that was the price. I asked to see a written email that I agreed to this price as they said I had and they could or would not show it to me. Unfortunately we were unable to come to an arrangement about this situation I had agreed to pay the $250, the amount they had orginally stated, fair to replace one piece of siding and fix a small hole, their response was to send me to collections and try and ruin my credit. The agency called me and told me that I had been sent to their office in regards to this issue, I intern offered the same amount for a settlement, they refused the offer and that's where it stands. if I were you save your money and your credit rating do not use this company without fully understanding what you're signing up for as I said in the past they were fantastic it is unfortunate if things had to change.
