10/10

We are new owners of an Amana AMVC96 furnace. The men that came to install the furnace were friendly and courteous, even though they were two hours late. During the installation process, the sheet metal that was initially measured and cut turned out to be two feet too long. They should have re-ordered a new sheet metal fitting but instead decided to cut the excess metal on the spot in order to bridge the furnace to the existing duct. The work involved a lot of patch work to complete the fitting but ultimately, it didn’t have a smooth fit which could in turn affect the airflow efficiency. The quality of the work didn't look professional at all and quite frankly, it looked like it was done by an amateur. We were quite disappointed with the installation as the most important part of purchasing a new furnace is the installation work. Update: Shortly after our complaint was posted on HomeStars, the president of AirPlus contacted us to see how he could rectify the problem. He personally came to our home to assess the duct work and agreed that the sheet metal should be refitted, free of charge. Since we were in the middle of winter and our heater was in working condition, he suggested having the work done during the spring time which we agreed upon. Earlier this month, AirPlus contacted us to see when it was a good time to replace the sheet metal. The technician arrived on time and began working on the refit. We can honestly say that the work was professionally done and was handled to our satisfaction. We would recommend AirPlus to a family member or friend, knowing that they carry the satisfaction guarantee motto.
