STAY AWAY FROM CHOUINARD BROS. We had them do work for our commercial building the contracts dated December 10, 2012 and April 2, 2013. Everything Chouinard was contracted to do now has to be redone. They replaced 6 Skylights, three are leaking, two have lifted from their base. We are told by three other roofers that Chouinard never put flashing around any of these skylights! It was as if they just dropped the skylights and left! Chouinard was to repair a seam in the middle of the roof and this was poorly completed. We had Chouinard remove the existing drain and install a new drain and they failed to place the required roof drain dome to prevent debris from entering the draining system. Chouinard has a salesperson who estimates the job and then they SUB-CONTRACT the work out. This means that you do not know who will be doing the work, when they will be doing the work or whether the contractor they are sending is capable or trustworthy etc.... Also, there is no project manager to make sure the work was completed correctly. Unfortunately, I am unable to climb onto the roof to check their work. Contacting their office when you have a problem, as I did when the first skylight lifted, it’s like dealing with a bureaucracy and they are extremely rude. We regret having used them!
