I paid to have a new furnace and water heater installed, with the understanding they would process rebate paperwork for the furnace from OPG and return the rental water heater. It took 2.5 months of follow-up (while I was being billed) before the water heater was actually returned. I never got my rebate paperwork despite 4 months of follow-up and the involvement with the Better Business Bureau and I learned today they weren't actually a registered contractor with OPG to give the rebate.

What could this company do to improve their services?
Do what they say they will do, respond to e-mails and phone calls, treat the customer with respect!
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Find a different company, get everything in writing, and follow-up, follow-up, follow-up.
