We purchased our home last June knowing that it was in need of some serious work to make it ours. This included replacing the original 1987 windows. After a winter with crippling heating bills, the house being constantly cold despite our best efforts, and the eternal whistling of windows that never closed fully, we bit the bullet and called in companies for some quotes. Vinyl window pro were the first company to arrange a time to visit, and Jeremy was polite and courteous with me on the phone and in person. He talked knowledgeably about their product, finishes, the installation process. We discussed the size of windows as my husband and I decided to increase a couple to allow more light into the kitchen and to allow for a legal fourth bedroom in the basement. Jeremy explained the additional cost involved with these alterations, the legal requirements for a basement bedroom, and an alternative opening window (that swings in fully like a door and tilts open to allow just air) for the basement that would require less digging and cutting. Jeremy worked it all into a very coherent quote. As they were the first company to quote I wanted to hold off on ordering until I had a few more quotes. The next few companies that came along all dealt with me well but I kept seeing significantly higher figures on the other companies quotes. One told me that I could not have slider windows in the bedrooms as they did not allow the legal requirements for emergency exit, but would have to pay extra for casement style windows. Another company told me that they would do me a special deal and give me their triple glazing at no extra cost - 9mm of glass. I already knew from Jeremy that with vinyl pro I would be getting 8mm glass in the double glazing so the extra 1mm for the price didn't seem like a deal from them. Anyway after a couple of weeks of getting quotes I laid them on the kitchen table and pushed it out of my mind. A friend happened to pop over and saw the quotes, she immediately told me to go with vinyl pro. They had 29 windows and 3 doors replaced in their home and used vinyl pro on the recommendation of a friend and neighbors and they all couldn't say enough in praise about the company. That sealed it for me and I gave them a call. We ordered the windows and asked for installation after the end of May to allow us to complete some work in the kitchen. We dealt with Tisha and Jeremy at this time and could not fault how accommodating and professional they were. Vinyl pro called about 2 weeks ago to say the windows were ready and we scheduled June 4th and 5th for installation. They arrived promptly on Jun 4th and immediately began, I left for work and when I returned at 18:15 they were still working away. All the windows were installed they just needed to finish sealing them and the interior trim. The guys asked if they could just keep working to get it all done and I said yes. By 21:00 they had completely cleaned up, and gone. Other than the fact we had beautiful new windows, you would be hard pressed to know they were even on site. I cannot say enough good things about this company and will recommend them to anyone looking for new windows. When the time comes to replace doors I know I will give them a call.
