Although I was on "hold" for 35 minutes, twice, I managed to get someone booked to service my water heater which died the next morning at 8am. Just a customer service tip on that, how about having the option to "leave your name and phone number" so home reliance can call you back rather than spend so much time on the phone wondering, when the music runs out, is anyone out there? But, Dave Stewart the technician was excellent, very informative, giving me very good tips, booked a free re-installation of new water heater same day. Because I rent, and the flu was done, they replace for free which is great news. Dave took the time to explain my options so I can understand what happened, etc. Also gave me some good tips on how to "work the system" on tuning up my air conditioner...so I took that advice too. I took the $17 a month plan, because my a/c needs tuning...and repairs would be included, and I need that. Then I can decide later if I want to get a more efficient one, or cancel this plan anytime, any month. Dave was genuinely nice, and I felt like he was someone who gave me the lowdown on everything, and was acting in my best interest. Thanks Dave! He also gave me some coupons worth $100-$250 towards an a/c if I want to get a new one, and explained how it can save on my hydro bills in future. So when I am ready to change it, I can use the coupons. Very hard to have trustworthy people in the service industry that will tell you the truth. Dave the technician was great. I did not pay a thing, to get the water heater replaced...other than a rental fee.) So thank you.
