On the afternoon of March 1, 2014, I arrived home after being out running morning errands and the house felt cold. Calgary was in another cold snap and the temperature outside was minus 25 degrees and I noticed my furnace wasn't working. The temperature which is normally 23 degrees was below 18 and dropping. I called Curt from Jamison Furnace, getting his voice mail. Curt called me back within 10 minutes and helped me troubleshoot the problem over the phone, diagnosing the problem and coming up with a solution. Curt even offered to drop by my home with the needed fuse for my furnace if I was unable to locate one within the hour. This was not necessary, however, the gesture did not go unnoticed. The fact that he provided phone advice for a simple problem as opposed to attending & charging for a service call, speaks volumes to his character and integrity. Kind words indeed, and I'm glad we had the opportunity to earn your praise! Despite protests from our accountant, who would like to see us raking in profits hand over fist, we can't possibly justify charging clients our minimum service call charge for something that takes 2 minutes and costs $0.25 when we can just as easily save their wallets by advising them on how you can solve simple furnace problems themselves in minutes.
