My business recently had water damage from a leaking flat roof after the recent freeze/thaw. Winmar did the tear out, re-drywalling, painting, etc. We are very happy with the quality of the work carried out, and with guys who did the work, particularly Sean. Matt at the office kept us informed. While we hope to never have to use their services again, the room looks wonderful, and we were very pleased with our experience with Winmar.

F.W. Black is the only company I'll ever call for appliance repair. I operate two daycare centres and purchased commercial Miele dishwashers from the company in town that has the Miele commercial contract, Swish. When Swish installed one of the dishwashers, they had two salesmen in suits and ties do the install. It was a joke . . . until they broke the back leg off. They then used wooden blocks to prop it up on and said they'd be back to replace the broken leg. They didn't return, and I had to phone and complain MONTHS later. When the dishwasher did have a problem, again they sent a salesman instead of a repairman, without any tools! He asked ME for a screwdriver and spent most of his time on his phone. I basically kicked him out and called F.W. Black. They came quickly, are professional and accommodating to our needs and they know what they're doing! I've also had Sears appliances in the past and if you need service, be prepared to wait . . . . a long time. Not so with F.W. Black. They're quick, efficient and they actually fix the problem! I've learned my lesson and will only purchase from and rely on F.W. Black for service.

I operate two daycare centres in Kingston, and we get very limited garbage pick-up by the municipality. A year or so ago I contracted JustJunk.com to do a weekly pick up, and couldn't be happier with their service. Scott from JustJunk has put bins at both my centres and comes once a week to empty them. He has adjusted his pick up to always be after our municipal pick up and not only takes what the City doesn't, but has taken it upon himself to spray out our garbage bins (not just his bin) whenever they need it, and puts them away for us if they're still out. Sometimes we have larger items that we've asked if he'd take (he takes ANYTHING), and he and his crew come right in and do the lifting and removing of larger items.

During the recent freeze/thaw weather in Ontario, the flat roof at my business (daycare centre) leaked! I was stressing over loss of business, etc., I was calling every roofer in the phone book. One of the places I called was Howes Bros., and while they were just as busy as everyone else, they came out to have a quick look, and could clearly see the pressure we were under to ensure this did not affect business and families. They were there off and on for days melting and scraping the ice on my roof, then constructed a pitched/sloped roof to ensure this doesn't happen again. Ben and Josh Howes, along with their crew, were WONDERFUL! Josh kept me informed every step of the way on what he felt was the best way to proceed, brought me siding and shingle samples, and the guys were very considerate of the staff and children in the other parts of the centre. I HIGHLY recommend Howes Bros. Roofing!

We completely regret spending thousands for a Direct Buy membership. I doubt we'll ever come close to recouping the membership fees. On top of that, our Kingston location closed abruptly with absolutely no warning. Rumours are still swirling about people being conned and swindled, and the owners moving everything to a nearby moving company's warehouse then skipping out on their lease, never returning for the merchandise. Frank's Moving is now where orders are shipped, and you have to go pick them up there. There is no showroom, no samples or fabrics to see for actual colours or quality. How do you choose these things accurately on-line. It's ridiculous, and NOT at all what we purchased. I would LOVE my money back. Do NOT buy into this.
