An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.
We had a new roof put on our home in Richmond Hill from Gitano Roofing this summer. We found them on Homestars and, of the 8 companies we called, they were 1 of the 2 who called us back with competitive quotes. We didn't need to be home for the quote but was able to contact Lewis by email 24/7 who promptly answered all of our questions. Since we did all of our emailing later at night, this worked great for us! The work on our 4000 sq ft home was done over 2 days, and only after we were satisfied with the work, did someone come by to pick up the payment.
