Tarion let us down. It appeared that Tarion colluded with our builder to work against us. Tarion fought us at every turn and we ended up in court 3 times with them. Tarion seems to us to be a system designed by builders for builders protection. I wish Ontario New homeowners had a choice to use a private company to insure and warrant their new homes and not be forced to pay for Tarion insurance.

JRC failed to follow the plans for our new Home. Many key elements were not constructed to the plans such as the stone work and copper roof. JRC had very poor follow through and customer service. JRC showed a lack of knowledge of the OBC and the Tarion warranty program. After months of trying to work through Tarion, JRC tried to claim they were not the builder and not responsible for repairs. We had to go to Court to force a settlement and Tarion has also taken JRC to court to recover over $42,000 in amounts paid for items on our home. Overall JRC showed a lack of knowledge and very poor customer service.
