2.8/10

Promised window installed in 6 weeks with 10% down payment and signature on the contract (end of September). I had to call 3 or 4 times after 3 weeks just to get the installer to come take the final window measurements. Window installation began finally the week before Christmas. Installers left broken glass on floor, ripped the upholstry on couch, and then did not show up the next day as promised. Job finished one week after Christmas. Now company is denying they are responsible for damage to the couch. Windows look good but were made by a manufacturer who delivered windows to George Kent. Customer service appauling. Company does not honour commitments, and denys responsibility for accidental damage. I would never recommend.

Company Response

This customer called our office when the installation was complete and said the installer had torn her couch. The installer had no knowledge of the torn couch. He is an excellent worker who has been with the company for years, and still is.
The salesman attended at the house and told the customer to get an estimate for repair, invisible mending or whatever. Bearing in mind this was on an older piece of furniture,we were aghast that the customer did not submit an estimate but reduced her bill by, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen dollars and fifteen cents ($1,917.15). We called the customer but there was no reasoning with her and she closed the conversation by saying "I know all about home improvement companies, they make a lot of money" and slammed down the phone.
We settled this by reducing the balance by $700.00 and the customer paid 2 years interest. To-day we still have not seen an estimate for repair.
