Nancy at Caplan Appliances sold me an oven that isn't working. I've been without a stove for 1.5 weeks now and I have had to start making angry calls to get any response so that we can either get our $1100 back or get them to provide us something to cook with so that we're not spending more money on restaurants. When I called customer service, Liz suggested that I should consider buying a 4 year extended warranty! They hadn't even fixed what we had originally paid them for!!! They have at least 2 identical models sitting in their inventory, but I have to take a day off work to wait for a repairman! DON'T SHOP HERE!!!

What could this company do to improve their services?
Return phone calls in a more prompt manner. When they promise to do something and give a deadline, follow through on that promise on time. Don't try to upsell a customer who isn't satisfied with the original purchase
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
I'd say there is a corporate culture problem here. Until there's evidence that's resolved I'd say shop somewhere else!
