We hired Alfa Design to add 400 square feet to our house. Initially, they were friendly and helpful travelling from Toronto to Waterloo several times. We told them several times that our budget was $150, 000 and that we couldn't afford more. They agreed and made up the drawings for the place. After the drawings were done, they suddenly tell us that they now have to charge 30% more for the job. The government only allows price increase of 10%. We were forced to cancel the job because we couldn't afford it. Very disappointed.

Dear Dough. I'm sorry for this inconvenience but it doesn't happened suddenly. We got shot down because of Covid-19 and after that every single thing prices changed. Before that we bought 2x4 about 4 dollars but in that time I bought 2x4 for 10 dollars. How you asking me to do that job with the same estimation after year and half. .....
