When my wife and I finally decided to renovate our 1980s bungalow, we searched Google reviews for the right contractor and obtained numerous quotes from various companies. From the start, Max stood out from the rest with his joyful personality and responsive communication. His quote was also competitive for the proposed scope of work.

Max and his team at Alpha Design Home Renovation commenced the project exactly on the agreed-upon date without any delays. The crew was meticulous, efficient, and always in good spirits. You can tell that this work was their passion and it definitely showed in the final results. What truly impressed me was that despite being the leader of the company, Max was always on-site, actively involved in much of the work himself.

Throughout the renovation process, Max maintained constant communication, regardless of the time. He promptly addressed all our questions and provided guidance on selecting materials. We also entrusted him to choose most of the finishes based on his design vision all of his selections were perfect!

Max and his team completed our fully renovated house exactly within the agreed-upon timeframe without any delays and the results were absolutely stunning! The design and finish of the house exceeded our expectations and is truly magazine-worthy.

We were also happily surprised by the additional touches that Max added, which we didnt even ask for, such as installing an electrical outlet on the vanity wall for an LED mirror (at no extra charge). It was such a thoughtful touch that we greatly appreciate and enjoy. Max also added elegant woodwork throughout the house as part of his design vision, which further elevated the final finish.

We hired Alfa Design to add 400 square feet to our house. Initially, they were friendly and helpful travelling from Toronto to Waterloo several times. We told them several times that our budget was $150, 000 and that we couldn't afford more. They agreed and made up the drawings for the place. After the drawings were done, they suddenly tell us that they now have to charge 30% more for the job. The government only allows price increase of 10%. We were forced to cancel the job because we couldn't afford it. Very disappointed.

If you are reading this and are unsure, believe me: that is the type of contractor you need. Don't be fooled by some profiles in homestars.com that have thousands of reviews: I followed this criterion 2 times and it was a complete disappointment.
Contact them, talk to them, notice that they are committed to delivering something that will make you happy. Most contractors don't do it. They do.

Earlier this year, we purchased a relatively old house (App, 2500 sq ft) with a presumably last general renovation of 15 years or so which needed a total renovation from A to Z.
This company did a great job in transforming the house not only in terms of renovation and fixing things but also to a level of luxury within a reasonable cost and time frame. These guys are very reliable, flexible, cooperative as well as fast. I am totally happy with the project and will call them again for my next project without any doubt.

At our church of St. Aidan's, Alfa Design and Renovation did an excellent job updating and renovating our two existing bathrooms. They also installed a separate handicap/family bathroom, as well as a Heater and AC unit to service all these areas. The workers from Alfa Design are very knowledgable and did an amazing job for us. Alfa-Design was highly recommended by a close friend and they surpassed all of my expectations. They where also very supportive and accommodating as I requested a shorter timeline for completion.
