We purchased a range online on March 26th. It was delivered on April 19thth. The deliverymen were polite and respectful. We saw them carefully uncrate the range in our driveway and carry it into our kitchen and plugged it in. They advised us to not peel off the blue tape until the range warmed up because it would shred. This whole process took about 5 minutes. We didn't wait and removed a strip of the tape. We were horrified to find the range has extensive damage. Both side panels are pulled away from the range. The top is pulled away from the back and twisted. Both sides are bent from whatever force hit this range. 10 minutes after delivery we called customer care and were told "once its landed its between you and Frigidaire." I insisted that I wanted a new range since I didn't buy a scratch and dent model. I explained to them that this range is broken, not defective. They were cold and failed to appreciate that we now had no stove in our home. We were told we'd hear from Frigidaire the next day, Thursday. 5 days later, still no call and no range. Next, I called the store manager, or who claimed to be a store manager. She was equally cold and unresponsive. She just didn't care. I left a message at Dufresne Corporate office. No call back. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau who did contact Dufresne. No response. We have bought much of our furniture and all of our appliances at Dufresne. We were loyal customers. We trusted them. All of this could easily have been avoided if they had sent a new undamaged range. This range is not usable and we don't even have it plugged in out of concern for safety due to its condition. No one at Dufresne cares.
