I have been a loyal customer of Total Tech Pools for well over decade. During that time, I have recommended your services to many people. I am very disappointed with the response received after a recent pool closing. The date of closing was on October 4th, 2022. On October the 8th I noticed a sound around my pool filter and realized the sound was coming from my pool motor. Then I found out that power to my pool remained in the on position and motor to my pool was running dry. I called Total Tech several times and finally received a call back on October 11th and spoke with Saskia. I informed Saskia of the situation. She asked me if my timer was on as it is my responsibility to turn off the timer. In the over ten years of Total Tech closing my pool, I have never been instructed or turned off the timer myself. Saskia then informed me the paperwork left after closing with invoice states as reminders owners to turn off timers and heaters to the pool system. Additional reminders, remove plugs and fittings from system and put in pump and skimmer baskets. Something again I have never done because Total Tech has always done this. I asked when closing the pool are you not to turn the power off to the pool? At this point I was getting very frustrated with how the conversation was going. Saskia brought up the timer issue. My issue was that power to pool was left on! I asked that a technician come by and basic response why? So basically, discussion ended. After a few days it occurred to me the reason I had never turned off my timer. Is because when the power to my pool is turned off, power to the timer does not operate. I called Saskia back on Oct 17th and tried to explain how my timer worked. If the power to my pool was off in the first place, there would not be a problem. I was then told it is impossible for them to close the pool with the power On. Funny, this was never brought up in our first conversation. Well, the impossible happened. Also made me feel i was not telling the truth. Why on earth would I call to advise the power was left on. Is it not conceivable when they were closing the pool with my timer was operational in the off position and pump was not running? So, when closing the pool, did not turn off the power? Im concerned my pool motor has possibly seized up and will not work when I open the pool next spring. Further my GFCI has blown and needs to be replaced. Your overall customer service is terrible. Total disregard for my concerns, you take no responsibility, its my fault. On your website you state you Pride yourself on providing honest and fair service. I dont think so. Bottom line I will no longer be using your services. Garry Oct. 21,2022
