The entire flooring in our home had been purchased and installed over the years through CDL. Our previous experience had been excellent. However the same cannot be said for our current dealings. The product and the installer and installation were very good. However customer service left a lot to be desired. It was determined that insufficient product had been provided. While there should have been 22 boxes only 20 were delivered and there were several planks short of completion. I was advised by someone at the warehouse (?) that the extra boxes were there but I would have to wait another 10 days before they could complete the order. Why was the question and the answer, because it would take that long to create a new vent. No further explanation as to why we would have to trip over the gap in the flooring for 10 more days. There was a charge on the invoice for removal of the K3 subflooring however it did not need to be removed. I spoke to four different individuals before this was rectified. When the flooring project was finally completed the carpet kickers came in. Unfortunately the glue on the transitions had not set and the installer had to return again The salesperson appears to have disappeared as I had received several calls from other individuals. When she finally called it appeared she was only aware of the transition problem????? Pat called and then came to the residence to say it was all his fault, but not really as a new employee had put the extra boxes in the wrong place. He advised that CDL would not compensate us for the aggravation and delays that affected us and other trades as well. He did say that if we came back to purchase carpet for the three bedrooms we would get a good deal. PLEASE tell me why I should return after this fiasco!
