10/10

I hired "Stroke of Genius" based on review on Homestars to paint a two bedroom condo prior to offering for sale. As has been mentioned in other reviews Daniel was professional. Painters arrived early on appointed day . Additional painters and cleaners were brought on to keep to schedule, which I appreciated. Work was done during a period of extreme cold and the painters pointed out problem areas to me and proposed solutions which were implemented in the original budget. I found everyone I dealt with to be very professional and considerate. I would recommend this firm.

Approximate cost of services:
$3,000.00
What could this company do to improve their services?
Daniel couldn't take credit cards/debit himself, and had to use a supplier to process payment. He's a highly mobile guy and I'm sure there would be some kind of card reader for his iphone to process payments. Not a big thing - just make him more professional and offer more options to the client.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
These comments do not reflect on the company or their painters. I was my first large scale painting project and I was surprised by how much drywall dust there was to clean-up afterward. The stuff got everywhere. The painters cleaned everyday, but its not enough. You may want to hire a cleaner after the job is done to clean woodwork etc. Also - again NO reflection on the painters, all household items get moved to the centre of the room and closets are emptied. It is your responsibility to put it all away afterward, which make sense since you know where stuff belongs - but it is a lot of work. Add a couple of days to restore order to your world after a big paint job.
