I replaced all the windows in my home in 2018 with triple pane windows from Platinum that came with a limited lifetime warranty. I started to notice that 4 of the windows were starting to fail and would be full of condensation and ice was starting to form. Also I realized when I opened my california shutters there was a huge amount of mould on the bottom of the windows (see pictures). I contacted Platinum in Dec 2021 with my concerns as some of the windows are in my childrens rooms and they first told me that this was normal condensation and the windows were acting properly (from the pictures you can see that windows should not be like this). I contacted them again asking for them to be checked and they said that the manufacturer will charge $200 to come visit if it wasn’t a valid problem with the windows. After some back and forth they agreed to have someone come take a look at them from their company free of charge. My appointment was to be in January, they cancelled because of weather, they rescheduled for February, they cancelled because their employee had covid, they rescheduled for March 1, they cancelled because they told me the service technician was running behind and would call back and re-schedule (they still havent). I decided that was enough dealing with them and I will have a separate company look at them at my own expense. Its not worth the unreliability of this company. The process of ordering and getting the windows installed was fine but dealing with them after is so unprofessional and it looks like they have an inferior product. I would stay far away from them if you are looking for new windows. I hope this review helps others and its nothing against the company but its an honest assessment of my experience and you can see from the pictures what I am dealing with.

Company Response

Hello Andrew, I'm very sorry that the you are not satisfied with the products. Condensation on windows is caused by too much relative humidity in your home and that's why water is forming on your windows. The fact that you have mould on your windows is a true sign of that. The solution here should have been controlling the relative humidity levels in your home to prevent these issues. Weather conditions and unforeseen circumstances, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, have unfortunately impacted our service availability and caused delays. However, we understand that this caused frustration and dissatisfaction on your end, and we apologize for the inconvenience caused.
