5/10

We found the painter very nice and easy to interact with. However the paint job (trim) was not only the wrong colour of white, (we had been very clear in the paper work that we wanted a specific colour to match our kitchen) the finish was bubbly. Yes, Hardings did pay to have the trim repainted which was great (although meant an additional week of trades in our home). Finally the doors were sprayed and returned (well...almost all of them. For some reason it took about 3 weeks to get two doors back. This was never explained). On some of the doors the spray gun was too close in some spots and made blotchy marks when the lights were on. But what really became a problem was the install of our closet doors. None of the doors were labelled when removed, and then were just installed wherever in the house. Most of the closets couldn`t be closed without rubbing and scratching the new paint job. We had the worker come back and move them around. Although agreeable, he didn`t put the closet hinges on properly and one of the doors fell off. It was lucky that my husband was present or our 5 year old would have been injured. Through several emails it because clear that Hardings was willing for the painter`s wage to be cut, but wouldn`t be taking a pay reduction themselves. This really gave me the impression that they do not stand behind their workers and only care about happy customers as long as it doesn`t impact their bottom line.
