We hired Specialty Well Services when our well pump stopped working. We had no water, so it was extremely important to find someone who could get the job done as quickly as possible. Specialty Well Services was able to come out and replace it the next day. They were very courteous and understanding of the situation. It was an expensive repair, but in our situation, we didn't really have the time to get several estimates, we just needed to get the problem fixed fast. I would recommend them but also I'd recommend that if you have a water well, it would probably be wise to talk to a few places about pump replacement costs BEFORE there is a problem so that you can be better prepared.

My husband signed a 1-year contract with Terminex for service that was to be performed once every 3 months, or 4 times during the contract, at $90 per visit. They were supposed to spray inside and outside our house to help stop a spider invasion. However, I came home one day and found a Hangtag on our door that said they had been there and only sprayed outside. I called the company and they said they would send someone back out to do the inside. No problem. But then 3 months later, I came home again to the hangtag, and again they said they had sprayed the outside of my house. Funny thing was, there was snow on the ground and the only footprints in the snow were on the sidewalk leading up to my front door. So basically, they claimed they had performed a $90 service that they had clearly not done. At that point, I cancelled the remainder of our contract because I don't like dealing with dishonest people when we are paying so much for a service. It may not be the company's fault, but their contractor was getting away with not doing his job. I would not recommend them at all.

We hired Barreca based on the job they did at our neighbor's house. Our driveway was starting to crack and crumble in places due to the harsh weather conditions here. It was more than we wanted to deal with ourselves. Barreca took care of everything from start to finish and our driveway looks new again...no more dandelions growing in the middle of it! They were very prompt and professional, and we are very happy with the work they did. We would recommend them to others as our neighbor's did for us.

We hired them to come out and perform a chimney cleaning before using our fireplace in the fall. They were friendly and on time for their appointment and completed the job without making any mess in our living room, which was important to me as I have allergies to dust. Everything was clean and we were very happy with their service. We will be using their service again.

J. Doheny (a family owned business) came and gave us a free estimate on replacing our existing cracked basement windows with glassblocks. His estimate was about $50 less per window than the other contractors that we had talked to. We hired him for the replacement. The new windows were delivered (by his son) about a week after we ordered them and he came back a few days after the delivery to install them. They worked very quickly and cleaned everything up when they were done. The windows look great and offer the daylight with privacy and we opted for the vented kind so that we could get fresh air in the basement. They also use a waterproof mortar so there is no more seepage during snow melt or heavy rains. Very happy with the windows and the service. Would recommend.

Went into their retail location to price carpet for 3 bedrooms in our house, browsed their selection and we were able to negotiate a deal on a berber with padding and installation for a little less than $18/square yard. The price did not include moving any furniture or removing old carpet, which we did ourselves to save a little money. The installer came about a week later and completed the job promptly and was very courteous. This has been almost 4 months ago, and we have been very happy with the quality of the carpet and the installation. No problems. Would recommend.
