Subject Tuesday, April 23, 2024 Title ALMAC Landscaping over the last 20 years. 20 years ago we had ALMAC do a major landscape for us. With Als creativity we put together a detail plan and scope of work. For our budgeting purposes we planed to do the work over three years. We started with the back yard which included building a cedar fence, a paving stone patio, a large arbor, and an intricate outline to separate the grass area from the plants area. The second year we did the front yard. We had paving stones linking the back yard to the front yard. we had a intricate flower beds built, and we reseeded the front lawn. The third year we completed the work with the side yard. Our house was on a double lot, so we had a lot of area to cover. We had purchased all the paving stones in the first year to make sure the paving stones would come from the same batch and would match. So the remaining paving stones were mainly the small pavers, and I did not know how this would work and how the finished product would look like. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the final works. Als men are true artists, they produced a incredible design of curves weaving in and out. Important points to mention: We had the same crew every year, Al must take good care of his people. The quality of the work was excellent. After 20 years the paving stones look as good as ever, obviously preparation of the surface the stone sit on is very important. the cedar fence has stood the test of time. All weve had to do was restrain it every two or three years. And in the end there were no cost surprises. In September 2022 we moved into a a newer home, and again we contacted ALMAC to re landscape our property to best fit our needs. Again we discussed the overall property, the front yard and the back yard. And again we phased the work over two years for our budgeting purposes. Last year we had paving stones installed on both sides of the concrete driveway plus we had the front flower beds re designed to our liking. Plus we had ALMAC install a prefabricated 8 x 12 tool shed in the back yard. Again we benefited from Als experience, Al strongly recommend we not install the wood floor that comes with the tool shed as it would rot over time. Instead ALMAC prepared the floor area with a solid base to receive paving stones. This year ALMAC is coming back to install paving stones in the back yard. My wife and I have decided we want a low maintenance property. And again Al came up with a rough sketch to add an extra touch and pop by adding some intricate flower beds.
