Called Sean in for checking the old furnace (32 years old, shocked Sean as well), he ran on all tests for almost 3 hours and explained to me the best option is to get a new one. This part only cost me a flat rate of 89$ + tax. After a few interviews I decided Dr HVAC for the new furnace although their price is higher, but for things need to be replaced once in 20+ years I weight more on reliability and customer services and Dr HVAC win. At the end of the day my home warm again, my wife start BXXXXing me: who said money can't but you happiness. (well, I said that when we married, while I was as broken as my old furnace, so my wife keep BXXXXing me for that during the past 16 years, till 2040 I guess).

Approximate cost of services:
$4,100.00

Company Response

Thank you Yang!

Brocks was refered by a friend who also comment on this column, we were lazy guys and know little about the business so we signed with brocks in one interview (never interview with any other companies). It started(first meeting with sales) at late August and finished yesterday, the reason we wanted to pay an extra $1000 or so (compare with some small companies) is we don't want to end by a lot of problems, to this point, their services worth the money. There always be problems especially in terms of what is include in the contract what is not, we worked out this (not very smooth, but finally worked out), so my suggestion for everyone is do your own homework before contact any sales. My high rating come from: northstar windows and doors, the design is so good we love them; installer Amry, he did a wonderful job even there had some conflict between us and the contract. One more thing, if you have an old house and can afford a few more grands, better go brick-to-brick for all your windows replacement, it will make your whole house a 'woo-waa'.
