As a recent resident of Moncton from Ontario, I was in the market for a new place to live for my family and myself. We decided to purchase a house in the Moncton area. Our former house in Ontario, was brand new, and we trusted that the builder was going to make everything perfect. That, was a learning experience to say the least. We knew that for our next house we would definitely get a home inspection brand new or resale. As avid watchers of real estate shows, and arm chair Google search experts we knew we wanted the following: 1) Someone that owned the company and did the work directly 2) Someone that was licensed 3) Someone that had all the proper insurance including Errors and Omissions insurance 4) Someone that could do an inspection with an infrared camera. We narrowed it down to two inspection companies that fit those requirements. Prior to us deciding we asked both companies some general questions about houses we were looking at. Norm was quick to answer all of my questions. He even provided me with a sample report for me to look at. We decided to go with Norm and could not have been happier. He was able to meet the tight deadline for the inspection, he arrived on time and he took the time to walk me through and explain everything. He not only showed us what the issues were, he explained, to me in simple terms, what they meant risk wise in the future. The extra cost for the infrared scanning was well worth it. The technology lets you see beyond what you could normally and gave me an understanding of what “might” be behind the walls so I could make an informed decision. Norm took the time to explain everything to me. It was exactly what I was looking for, the cost was reasonable and it gave me the peace of mind that my home, arguable my largest asset and the place that my children slept was exactly what I was paying for. I am happy to say that we have lived in the house for some time now. There have been no surprises, no issues, or any problems to speak of. Its not often that I am impressed by companies.. Its even rarer that I write a review. Today I had my duct cleaned by "The Duct Cleaning Specalists". The individual that came to my house, Steve was a complete professional. He went above and beyond my expectations. He took the time to explain everything to me, and did a fantastic job. I am more than satisfied by the work that he did and would not hesitate to recomend to anyone this companies service. I initially found the company on this site. I figured the reviews were too good to be true, however, I was more than suprised by the superior work that was done. Thank you Steve and the Duct Cleaning Specialists.
