Hiring Jescore is like hiring family - in a good way! Corey and Jesse truly care about bringing your vision to life with guidance and expertise. Jescore redid our front porch, side entrance porch, stairs, landing, and foundation in natural Owen Sound flagstone. They removed and rebuilt the front porch stairs, and will remove and put in new retaining walls, and finally, repave our uneven driveway. They also installed new eavestroughs and fascia that changed the look of our home. We are so happy we’ve chosen one company to do all our work because we know that the quality of work will be A+ and each member of the work crews would respect each other’s work. We were finally ready to overhaul our front porch. We called numerous companies in Durham for quotes. Some just wanted to give us a cookie cutter look, and cut corners along the way. One even failed to mention we would need permits for an idea we had, and said it would be ok to keep our sinking steps. It was taking days and sometimes weeks for contractors to get back to me for a quote. Jescore, who I heard about through the Brooklin Moms FB groups, quickly replied and booked a time with me. Corey, the owner, came out to meet us and immediately showed us his genuine excitement about what the exterior of our home could look like. He listened to our vision and ideas, and added suggestions that were of value, such as changing our 20+ year old eavestroughs. Once we were ready to sign a contract, Corey’s son Jesse came by our house to meet us, learn about the project and give us his advice and expertise about colour choices. When we signed the contract, we knew we were in good hands. We were also nervous about taking on a huge project and Corey and Jesse understood that. They told us to reach out to them anytime with questions, and to never hesitate to ask. There was never a silly question. Their stone mason, Jean-Guy, is an old world artist when it comes to the artistry of laying natural flagstone. Our stonework is a thing of beauty! He arrived every morning at 7:30am and worked hard despite the hot sun. We could tell how much pride he put into his work. People who live in this home long after us will still appreciate his stonework! Corey and/or Jesse stopped by every day to check in with us, and to bring Jean-Guy and his partner meals and drinks. They treat their team with respect. We wouldn’t expect anything less from a company we hire. Corey even came by on a Sunday to bring Jean-Guy a lemonade as he finished off the job. Little things like that matter. When I had a moment of panic about the stone colour, Corey was at my door in 30 mins to answer all my questions and to bring me to a few houses he had worked on so we could see the colour after a few years. He took the time with us at every turn to make sure we understood the process, the vision, and what his team would be doing. Do yourself and your home a favour, and call Jescore.
