Assisted Review

An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.

We have used Water Works Plumbing in the past and when we purchased a new home, we asked Michael @ Water Works to come in a do a complete inspection of the plumbing system. Michael completed a thorough evaluation and isolated a few areas that needed repair. He even sourced a Technician to create gas piping and a regulator for my gas stove. Once all the work was completed, Michael came back to do a final "walk through" and inspection. I was very pleased the attention to detail. Thanks Water Works.

Company Response

Hi Megan in Toronto - We were so happy to hear about your new home and it was wise of you to have the existing plumbing reviewed. Maintaining your plumbing is an excellent way to avoid costly repairs in the future. It was a pleasure to work for you and we wish you all the best as you settle into your new home. From the Team @ Water Works Plumbing and Drains Inc.

The first review I wrote about Ironwood Construction was rejected by Homestars because apparently I put too fine a point on how extremely dissatisfied we were with this firm. The project dragged on for years, was not completed to the agreed upon specifications and the work was of poor quality (e.g., the entire back patio had to be lifted and relaid). In the end, the job was left unfinished and we still have an open building permit left on our hands. Do not hire Ironwood Construction if you want the job done properly, on time or on budget.
