Cy Gouthro in Comox

In May of 2011 a young man came to my door and said he was aerating lawns and asked if I would like to have mine done. I asked the price and he told me it was $78.00. I gave permission to have the work done and he did the aeration . He provided me with an invoice showing the company name to be Canadian property Stars. I made a cheque out to the company and he left. This February (2012) I received a call from this company asking if they could come again this year and aaerate my lawn and if I paid in advance, there would be no tax. I told the caller that I was not decided whether or not to have this work done again this year and they should call back when they were doing lawns in the area and I would have made a decision by then. This past Friday April 13th,, in my absence, a young man came on the property without asking permission and proceeded to aerate my lawn. Only when he was finished did he come to the door and told my wife that I had scheduled the work and presented her with an invoice for $156.00, exactly twice the price I paid last year. Not knowing that I did not give permission for this work to be done she unfortunately, paid the invoice. I have tried to contact the company by email and phone to no avail. This is definitely a scam company and I will advise all my neighbous to reject their approaches in the future. Cy Gouthro
