Very messy and not professional. Worker was great but Steve the owner was ok in start of the project but then became very threatening and disrespectful when I started to point out things that were not to my liking bad cuts on finishing, cabinets not painted just primed and measured wrong. Walls are not square and finishing not good at all At the end of the project I pointed these issues to him and he started by threatening me if I don’t pay he will put a lean on the house and that he was done so I paid in full plus extra for the mistakes that he did. I text him to find out when he would come to fix the deficiencies and the excuses started that for him to come and finish but the excuses started that he had other projects and paying customers that he has to take care of before coming back to fix “minor” issues after posting a review on line the threats started and I had to remove it for the safety of my wife and home. After filling a report with the local police I am reposting my review I don’t take too kindly to bullying and name-calling. I hope my review helps people see how this contractor can be

Company Response

As a contractor you will once in a while come across a client where no matter what lengths you go to they are unhappy when comes the time to pay the final balance. What this gentleman won't tell you is this was the second time I finish a project for him.

The first project was a full washroom renovation. There was a initial plan in place but in the middle of the job the gentleman decided to change his mind and extend the shower side wall and then shortly also changed his mind about the shower floor to use the planks. We advised that changes will create delays and obviously price as well. We did the floor changes at no extra charge but charged him $500 for extending the wall. The work was performed on a high quality with 3 years warranty and there was not complaints after the project was completed. During the entire project however we experienced a lot of down talking to us and different instructions from the man's wife which was later blamed on us by the gentleman. It seemed as though they had different visions for the project. All in all though when the project was done they both apologized and were very happy but also seeking a $500 discount (which was the of course for the Wall extension we completed). When we were done his wife wanted to take $500 of the last payment and of course it's unacceptable so we informed the client about the lien process so the husband paid. When we could not accommodate the $500 discount the wife became very angry and verbally abusive.

One year after, the husband reached out to me and said Steve you will be dealing with me and only me not my wife and of course out of good faith I said okay np will take on the job.. we did a whole renovation for his living room it was great job and the client admits that.. again in the middle of the project they approached me and asks me if I can add time around the fireplace "as a gift" out of a good faith again I said okay I will give your the time as a gift.. I purchased the tile but now he would need bigger Mantle then he says you pay for it which it was $1200 more expensive I refuse finally he agreed to pay half of it.

Then his wife again wanted to take $500 of the price at the end so I threatened again with lien on the property so they paid and call the police as they were threatened but the police told them this is not a personal threat.

Then he asks me if I wanted to do his office room and I refused so he came back to write this review.. the client is very unreasonable that he admitted in his own review that he used my best worker and got a great job but still will came back to write all this without any merits

I would be more than happy to address his response again
