Barb in Carleton Place

Ned from Bulgari Granite and Marble in Carleton Place has just finished installing granite counters in the kitchen and bathrooms of our home. I have nothing but glowing commentary to offer about Ned. He is one of the brightest, hardest-working, most reliable, most precise and most prudent tradespeople I have ever encountered. If you are looking for a fancy showroom and a smooth-talking sales team, Bulgari Granite and Marble is not the place for you. But if you place a premium on sound guidance, great responsiveness, the utmost respect for your home, and impeccable craftsmanship, then there is no better choice. From the moment I met Ned, I could sense how quick and clever he was and he instantly won my confidence. He scribbles handwritten notes in a notebook or a scrap of paper but, believe me, this man knows what he is doing! Didn't miss a detail and everything fit to a tee. He somehow managed to cut the slabs of stone in such a way as to both optimize the yield (he got 3 bathroom vanities out of the surplus from the kitchen) and to beautifully match the pattern, preserving the flow that attracted me to that particular material in the first place. I was also extremely impressed at how he was able to maneuver these heavy slabs of stone without doing any damage to my home (this was a retro-fit rather than a new-build). He planned out every move before he made it and advised his assistant carefully and patiently as to the approach they were going to take. Speaking of assistant, I also want to give a big nod to Kyle. He was wonderful as well. Extremely careful and competent and a joy to work with inter-personally. Ned and Kyle obviously had great mutual respect and they worked together like a well-oiled machine. Regarding pricing, I found it more than fair. We consulted several fabricators. Ned's price was very competitive and he stuck to his estimate--no unforeseen costs or hidden surprises. In recognition that "less is more", I must stop running on. But, sincerely, I cannot say enough good things about Ned, Kyle, and Bulgari Granite and Marble. I am so glad that I found them and only want to pass on my good fortune to others. Barbara Collins
