As a first time home buyer the option of having a secondary suite to rent out for additional income was an important decision in making my purchase. However I was a little hesitant when the unit was not of legal status, as is the case with 90% of the secondary suites in Toronto. Although it seemed to be very close to meeting all requirements getting Paul to inspect the house, and advise on required changes, gave me peace of mind that I will be able to do the necessary upgrade to legalize the unit.
